Planned Parenthood has been and remains a point of contention between liberals and conservatives in this country.
The fact the organization receives truckloads of cash of taxpayer money every year under the guise of female healthcare when the “main” business of the organization is abortion is infuriating to pro-lifers.
Texas just stepped up big league, however, and has ended taxpayer money funding this organization within the state.
Jennifer Allmon, executive director of the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops was ecstatic with the decision, stating, “There are hundreds of providers throughout the state of Texas willing to serve poor women with authentic healthcare services that are not also peddling abortion.
“The Texas Pregnancy Care Network has a list of such providers throughout the state and if these providers do not accept Medicaid, they can make referrals to life-affirming Medicaid providers who can offer genuine healthcare to women in need.”
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton also released a formal statement…

This is a step in the right direction, but I highly doubt this fight is over.
This will more than likely now escalate to the Supreme Court, where we will finally get to see where Trump’s appointees stand on limiting abortion and the taxpayer funding of it.
