NBC and Saturday Night Live are clearly no longer interested in appealing to the entire country.
After Saturday night’s episode, I think it is fairly safe to say its potential audience has been cut in half.
Non-stop Leftist Attacks
I get that politicians are fair game, especially when it comes to comedy.
However, certain things should be left alone out of decorum, one being some being hospitalized during a pandemic.
SNL broke right through that barrier in a major way, making Trump’s COVID diagnosis the butt if of its jokes throughout the night.
It started with the cold opening…
Then Chris Rock hit Trump right out of the gate during the opening monologue…
Then they attacked Kentucky’s Attorney General during one of the musical performances, accusing him of being as bad as the slave owners that sold Africans into slavery.
Not sure what is worse… that these skits made it through the final approval process or that the crowd cheered so loud when they were performed.
Just file all this for later and realize that nothing is off the table as we move forward.
When we go after their next president, be it Biden or someone else, they have now set the standard that even when someone is sick, dying, or whatever it may be, they are all fair game.
