There is now a significant debate over whether or not Chief Justice Roberts will be presiding over the impeachment of Donald Trump.
The early lean seems to be that he will decline if asked, which then brings in the legitimacy of the impeachment itself.
If Justice Roberts does not preside over the trial and that duty is then handed off to Kamala Harris, how legitimate could it possibly be?
According to Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), not legitimate at all…

As we have stated before, this impeachment is already in very muddy waters simply because it is a measure meant to remove someone from office, not punish them after leaving office.
At this point, a legitimate case could be made for the abuse of power by the powers that be in the Democrat party.
