Conservatives can start to breathe a major sigh of relief.
It now seems apparent that as long as everyone on the Republican side shows up for the vote, Amy Coney Barrett will be confirmed tonight.
Romney is a Yes
Throughout this confirmation process, it seemed as though there were only three or four possible votes that would not fall for Barrett.
Over the last few days, all but one of those votes have been secured.
After Senator Murkowski (R-AK) stated she would be a yes, the only two votes up in the air were Senator Romney (R-UT) and Senator Collins (R-ME).
Collins, on Sunday, revealed she would be a no.
Romney, however, stated that he would be a yes, giving Republicans an apparent 52 votes to confirm Barrett this evening when the vote formally comes up on the Senate floor.
Judge Amy Coney Barrett is exceptionally intelligent and impeccably credentialed. She is a woman of unquestionable character, the presence of which is essential to our nation’s confidence in the Court. I'll be honored to vote to confirm her nomination. https://t.co/4eEm3HqMCt
