The rift in the Democrat party between the Old Guard and the New Breed is now being drug out into the streets
On Saturday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y) openly sparred on social media over the recent humanitarian aid legislation to benefit illegal immigrants at border detention facilities.
Party Dissention
Nancy Pelosi was not happy some of the newest members of her party were not on board with legislation that was passed earlier this week to provide humanitarian relief at the border.
Pelosi stated, “All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world.”
Pelosi was referring to not only AOC but also Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).
The comments were made in an article that was published in the New York Times on Saturday.
Pelosi doubled down after the article was public, further stating, “But they didn’t have any following.
“They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”
Pelosi also commented on the major shift to the very far left the New Breed is trying to take the party, stating, “If the left doesn’t think I’m left enough, so be it.”
The New Breed released a statement as to why they did not support the legislation, calling both the Border Patrol and ICE “radicalized, criminal agencies” that “are destroying families and killing innocent children.”
Needless to say, the comments made by Pelosi did not sit well with AOC, who was more than happy to drag this fight out into the street for everyone to see.
AOC blasted Pelosi on Twitter…
That public “whatever” is called public sentiment.
And wielding the power to shift it is how we actually achieve meaningful change in this country. https://t.co/u6JtgwwRsk

I find it strange when members act as though social media isn’t important.
They set millions of 💵 on 🔥 to run TV ads so people can see their message.
I haven’t dialed for dollars *once* this year, & have more time to do my actual job. Yet we’d rather campaign like it’s 2008.

I don’t believe it was a good idea for Dems to blindly trust the Trump admin when so many kids have died in their custody. It’s a huge mistake.
This admin also refuses to hand over docs to Congress on the whereabouts of families. People’s lives are getting bargained, & for what? https://t.co/h7gP8Wous1

AOC also landed a few shots at Republicans a day earlier.
A Washington Post op-ed on Friday from Ryan Grim stated, “Ocasio-Cortez told me that she treats Republicans like buffoons because that’s how they’ve behaved for as long as she can remember.
“’Even before I was of voting age, I saw Republicans accuse the Obamas of doing a ‘terrorist fist bump,’ so they’ve been clowns since I was a teen,’ she said.”
This is an absolute disaster for Democrats right now.
For months, there have been whispers of dissension among the ranks but Pelosi has always denied it.
Now, their dirty laundry is out there for everyone to see.
At a time when the party should be coming together to put forth a candidate they believe can defeat Trump, they are falling apart in front of the entire country.
As conservatives, all we need to do now is sit back and watch this unfold because if it keeps going, they will be assuring Trump of an easy victory on election day.
