For years, David Hogg has been front and center for Democrats to rail against the Second Amendment.
Republicans have not had a counterpart to Hogg, until now.
This week, Senator Mitch McConnell announced that Covington High’s most famous graduate, Nick Sandmann, will be joining his campaign to work on grassroots support and fundraising.
Sandmann hit the national stage when he was wrongly accused of instigating a fight with a liberal protester in D.C.
The misreporting resulted in undisclosed settlements for Sandmann from CNN and the Washington Post, with more to come.
While nobody knows the value of the settlements, it is a pretty safe bet that Sandmann will never have to work, but he is not squandering anything away.
He is enrolled in college and is now working for McConnell, something that will go a long way if he ever decides to pursue a political career, which is surely in the cards.
