Things got a little testy on the Hill this week.
DHS Secretary Mayorkas was in the hot seat to answer for the migrant crisis at the border.
He did the usual spin right up until Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) got under his skin, which is when he lost it.
The Hot Seat
Before Mayorkas’s outburst, Rep. McCaul (R-TX) asked Mayorkas why the administration shredded Trump’s policies, all of which were put in place specifically to prevent a crisis such as we are seeing today.
You can see that back and forth in the video below…
Next up was Cammack, who just obliterated Mayorkas.
Cammack stated, “I just want to bring it home a little bit.
“See, I’m from a small town out West and the month before I was supposed to graduate high school – which was 2006 – one of my classmates was kidnapped by an illegal who had been deported multiple times.”
That is when Mayorkas lost his cool, calling her comments “extraordinarily disrespectful.”
He added, “Disrespectful not only to me, but disrespectful to the men and women of the Department of Homeland Security and to all the front-line personnel across this country who dedicate themselves to the safety and security of the American people.”
Then Cammack landed the knockout blow, stating, “I’m sorry that you feel that way.
“I’m sure the American people feel very disrespected about the border situation they’re facing right now.”
.@DHSgov Sec. Mayorkas called one of my questions "extraordinarily disrespectful" when I mentioned a classmate's kidnapping at the hands of an illegal immigrant.
What I find disrespectful is the crisis at the border due to @POTUS' executive order.

That is what I call a mic drop moment.
