Republicans better read every word of the proposed stimulus package that Democrats have on the table right now.
As part of Joe Biden’s new immigration plan and possibly to be included in the new stimulus package… blanket amnesty and a path to citizenship for every illegal living in this country right now.
Amnesty for All
The new plan was confirmed by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
When asked about the amnesty plan, Psaki stated, “There certainly is part of the proposal that the president outlined and proposed on Day One that is an earned pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the country.”
According to Biden’s plan, all illegals would then be given an 8-year path to citizenship.
The plan would call for a 5-year path for green card status and an additional 3-year path to gain citizenship.
That would mean 11 million fresh voters for Democrats in only eight years, and this, of course, would not include the additional immigration numbers that Biden wants to add to legal immigration and asylum seekers.
Let’s also not forget the Biden wants to offer citizenship to all the DACA recipients.
The challenge for Biden and Democrats will be to get 10 Republicans in the Senate to support the bill, unless they do an end-around by attaching it to a budgetary bill, where they can use reconciliation to have it passed, needing only the Democrat Senators to support and it Harris’ 51st and tie-breaking vote to assure success.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is offering a compromise that would include DACA recipients, but it sounds an awful lot like the plan that Trump put out there during his term and that was rejected by Democrats.
To me, it seems like Dems are going to present an all-or-nothing bill and Republicans don’t support it, they will pull some shenanigans to ram it through.
