Obama Loyalists Fuming Over Democrat Candidates Attacking Obama’s Record

In an effort to take out Joe Biden, the other Democrat candidates are putting Barack Obama’s legacy at risk, something Obama’s former staffers are not exactly happy about.

Several former high-ranking officials in the Obama administration are calling out the Democrat field for attacking Barack Obama and the policies of his administration.

Biden’s Own Fault

Honestly, Joe Biden has brought this on himself.

After his own record started to get attacked, Biden started to rely heavily on his time as Obama’s VP to show how progressive and valuable he is to the party and liberals.

He regularly invokes Obama’s name on the campaign trail and always seems to mention Obama a half dozen times or so on the debate stage.

Now, the other candidates are pointing to certain policies during the administration as a way to take Biden down a few notches in the polls.

The two major Obama policies that came under fire during the debates were Obamacare and immigration, specifically how the administration sped up deportations for illegal immigrants.

Don’t Mess with Barry

Among the first to speak out against the attacks was former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Emanuel was also Obama’s first White House Chief of Staff, so he took the attacks rather personally and called the candidates “nuts” for attacking him.

He further called Obama “the most successful president … since the Great Society.”

Eric Holder, Obama’s self-proclaimed “wingman” and Attorney General, stated, “To my fellow Democrats.

“Be wary of attacking the Obama record.

“Build on it.

“Expand it.

“But there is little to be gained – for you or the party – by attacking a very successful and still popular Democratic President.”

Neera Tanden, who serves as the President for the Center for American Progress also slammed the candidates.

Tanden stated, “The GOP didn’t attack Reagan, they built him up for decades.

“Dem Candidates who attack Obama are wrong and terrible.

“Obama wasn’t perfect, but come on people, next to Trump, he kind of is.

“This is my outrage of the day.”

The attacks against Obama, who many conservatives at the time believed was way too far left of center, proves how ridiculously left the party has swung.

There is no more middle ground with this group, period.

However, this radical stance appears to be driving more party members away than drawing them in as well as making Biden the more likely candidate to survive when all is said and done.
